Muddy Meadows “Skuggi” Mystery Of Shadows

Skuggi is a striking, dark golden male with the kind of presence that turns heads and the temperament that wins hearts. Weighing in around 85 pounds, he is a big, blocky, muscular boy with beautiful structure and substance, representing exactly what we strive for in our program.

Beyond his looks, Skuggi’s purpose is what truly sets him apart. He is a dedicated service dog for his handler, assisting with mobility and providing daily support in meaningful ways. Skuggi has been trained to help his person up, retrieve items, and even open doors—tasks he performs with confidence and reliability. More importantly, he brings constant companionship, stability, and joy.

Skuggi has an incredible attitude—eager to work, quick to learn, and deeply connected to his person. He’s intelligent, responsive, and naturally driven to please, making him both a dependable working dog and a loving companion.

When he’s not working, Skuggi is all retriever—fun-loving, playful, and always ready for a game of fetch. He carries that perfect balance of drive and calm, able to switch from focused service work to relaxed, happy companion in a moment.

Shooter is not just a lovable golden retriever; she embodies the ideal companion with her playful yet gentle nature. She absolutely adores fetching and consistently brings you her prize, displaying an impressive reliability and eagerness to always be by our side. With her great energy balance and remarkable speed in returning the ball, she truly enjoys the game, always ready for another round. Shooter is highly intelligent and obedient, with an insatiable desire to please, making training a breeze. Her soft and kind personality shines through, as she thoughtfully asks for permission before jumping up on the rocking chair to snuggle with either Chad or myself.

After a fun-filled day, she easily settles down for cozy cuddles, popcorn, and a movie night! Shooter weighs a healthy 68 pounds, standing 22 inches tall at the shoulder. She has wonderfully square build and captivating, expressive eyes, complete with those fabulous eyebrows that undoubtedly earn her extra treats from our family and friends.
