This litter will be active and exhibit all the classic golden retriever traits: a friendly demeanor, exceptional intelligence, and a loving nature that will quickly capture your heart. What truly makes a Golden Retriever’s personality so unique and endearing is their unwavering loyalty and affectionate spirit. They are much like a young child, following you everywhere with enthusiastic curiosity. These dogs fall in love with you quickly and form deep, lasting bonds with their family members. Often lovingly called “velcro dogs,” they have a remarkable tendency to stick close by your side through every moment. Goldens wear many hats—they thrive in hunting activities, adore water sports, and have a special affinity for people, especially children. Their versatility shines through in obedience training, hunt tests, agility challenges, therapy work, dock diving events, and shed hunting. Above all, they make an incredible companion who simply wants playtime, love, and inclusion from the entire family.
This litter has low COI (Coefficient of Inbreeding) Genetic coefficient of inbreeding (COI) measures the proportion of a dog’s genome in which the dam’s and sire's genes are identical by descent. All else being equal, a lower COI has been correlated to improved health and a longer lifespan (Bannasch et al 2021, Yordy et al 2020).
The expected coefficient of inbreeding for this pair’s offspring is 16%, which is lower than the average breed COI of 21% for Embark-tested Golden Retrievers.
These results are calculated probabilities meant to serve as one of many factors in our breeding decisions.
